In January I joined the Seed&Spark community, an incredible company led by Emily Best that is focused on innovation, equity, and supporting independent filmmakers. I was selected as one of three creators to pitch a project I’m developing to Mark Duplass who helped me crack it, turning it into something I can get started on right now. My conversation with Mark was extremely validating and inspiring, he offered ideas and directions I had not considered, and he even surprised each of us at the end with a $1,000 grant to get started.
